“The Mind Stone is the fourth of the Infinity Stones to show up in the last few years. That’s not a coincidence. Someone has been playing an intricate game and has made pawns of us.” – Thor (Avengers: Age of Ultron)
“Endgame” is a term used to label the late stage of a chess game when there’s fewer pieces on the board–and the King becomes a more powerful figure. This is why Strange saved Tony–not only because Tony will be a pivotal figure moving forward, but to lose Tony would be checkmate. (x)
remember when we were ready for a major throw down here but instead of taking his anger out on Gamora he understood that she was not her father and sincerely emphasized with her pain? yeah. this is why i love Thor
Listen. This scene. This messed me up. It isn’t just a party. He hears bombs in the music. He sees the wounded in winestains. He’s got PTSD, and he does his damnedest to hide it. Even from himself, but it still creeps in.
And then there’s Peggy. Everything he hoped for. A promise of a future. Of love. Of a life. ‘We can go home. Imagine it…’
But he turns around, and the hall is empty. Even in his dreams, he can’t imagine it. Everyone that got to go home, is gone. And he’s been left behind. There will never be a going home party for Steve Rogers. He knows it, and it hurts like hell.
