Police launched tear gas and stun grenades on protesters in Ferguson last night

The scene in Ferguson turned violent once again on Monday night after repeated clashes between police and protesters.

Law enforcement officials said early Tuesday that they “came under heavy gunfire” and had arrested 31 people by the end of the evening, Reuters reports.

This shit is past ridiculous. How long does it go on; like damn.

Going on right now in Ferguson: Police are raiding a church that has been stocked with medical supplies, food, and tear gas recovery kits for community members engaging in protests. This cannot be allowed to continue.

Stand up, speak out.

“Hey Hey, Ho Ho, These Racist Cops Have Got to Go”: Oakland, CA, marches in solidarity with Ferguson | AmericaWakieWakie

August 20th, 2014

Tonight, just over a week after the killing of an unarmed black teen at the hands of Ferguson, MO police, Oakland residents took to the streets in solidarity with protesters across the country to demand an end to police brutality against black (and brown) communities. Centered around the failure of Ferguson’s local authorities to arrest killer cop Darren Wilson, the officer responsible for Michael Brown’s death, protesters in Oakland rallied to demand “Justice for Mike Brown.”

SF Gate reported:

The marches started in four separate locations – Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Jack London Square, the main branch of the Oakland Public Library and the African American History Museum – but came together outside of Oakland Police Headquarters around 6 p.m.

Protesters from the different marches were briefly prevented from joining up with each other by a line of police.

Quanah Brightman, executive director of United Native Americans, an Indian protest group was angered by police attempting to block the marchers from uniting.

“They won’t even let us walk on the public street,” he said. “I don’t feel safe. It is what it is, and they hate us. When they put on a badge, they’re allowed to kill us.”

Several protesters and family members had recently returned from Ferguson, where police have been criticized for their heavy-handed tactics, and urged support for their counterparts there.

Oakland certainly is not unfamiliar with police brutality. Like today, it was not long ago that the community was in the streets over the death of Oscar Grant, who was killed by BART police in 2009. Or the nearby deaths of Alex Nieto and Andy Lopez, who both died at the hands of law enforcement officers.

Even more recently, however, over the death of Alan Blueford, who was shot and killed by Oakland police on May 6, 2012. His mother, Jeralynn Blueford, along with Grant’s mother, attended the protest tonight.

As quoted by SF Gate, she rallied the crowd with chants of “They say get back! We say, fight back,” as police formed a line to block merging groups of protesters.

She went on to tell the folks to take the fight to Washington D.C., saying “We’re going to change this crooked system. Obama, if you hear me, Alan Blueford’s life matters. Mike Brown’s life matters.”

“Waste of good ammo. It’s my privilege to buy you a replacement box.”

“All self-respecting whites have a moral responsibility to support our growing number of martyrs to the failed experiment called diversity.”

“I thank all Police, you are the ‘Thin Blue Line’ protecting normal Americans from aggressive and entitled primitive savages. America is surely at the tipping point.”

Just a few quotes (in case it’s hard to read) from that collection of donation messages for Darren Wilson.

Does anyone else want to say it’s not about race?

LORD LOOK AT THIS

Theyre are really trying their hardest to demonize this child

WEED?

How many of us have weed in our system

Hell, I have weed in my system

I knew they were going to bring this up as a Reason that he is an aggressor.

Since when does marijuana make folks aggressive?

Since when does having marijuana in your system make you a raging criminal

The officer didnt even know that Mike a that in his system

But you see, they waited until the other autopsy was released to expose their own autopsy report

This is so much bullshit. They really are scraping the bottom of the barrel now.

Even if true OR relevant, having weed in your system makes you more likely to chill out than charge through a hail of bullets toward your certain death.

I recorded this last night. The volume was mad low because my daughter was sleeping, so that’s my annoying mistake. But the audio is clear, just turn up your volume or use headphones and listen closely to the astonishingly malicious reporting from CNN International (which takes over American CNN every night for some reason).

They have 3 [Black] eyewitnesses, which they completely disregard by framing a false equivalency with— and I’m not making this up, “an anonymous caller who did NOT witness the shooting BUT is a friend of the officers”

Whaaaaaat? You’re rebutting 3 eyewitnesses with  an anonymous caller who did NOT even see the events AND is a friend of the shooter? Really?

Where they do that at?

CNN continues, ““an anonymous caller who did NOT witness the shooting BUT is a friend of the officers says Michael Brown was the aggressor, which CNN has CONFIRMED matches the account officer Wilson gave authorities.”

Oh, you confirmed it did you? Of course it matches, she’s representing the guy who will literally say anything to stay out of jail. She already admitted that she could not possibly know if what she’s saying is true, and CNN broadcasts it around the world. Think about that. They use the word “confirmed” in an attempt to add validity to propoganda, while making it sound like they did some work.

Then, as if that wasn’t crazy enough, they immediately play the ANONYMOUS person’s call/version of events on TV!! (With captioning to make sure the narrative really burns into your consciousness.) Her version has literally zero merit. They did not play any of the eyewitness accounts and went straight to a play-by-play from someone who WASN’T EVEN THERE??!!

That is a gross violation of journalistic responsibility and public trust.

The question is not “if” but why; why have news networks chosen a side?

(Granted, none of these accounts are given under oath; none are automatically true. But at least ask people who could possibly be of value.)

200 protesters continue to march for justice on Thursday night, Aug. 21st.

I wonder how many people had completely forgotten what this whole thing is actually about and expected this to end when the police stopped attacking them. This isn’t over, it’s LITERALLY just starting. The police raids weren’t the issue, they were distracting from the issue. This won’t stop until the murderer and coward Darren Wilson faces actual justice.
