[’Uptown Girl’ by Billy Joel plays in the background]
Belated birthday drawing for myself! Fashion icon uptown boy Tony in a fresh Gucci glasses, Louboutin shoes (fun fact they are called Dandelion flats) and $15k Rolex and Steve – hopelles smol downtown boy in a second-hand hoodie. A perfect match!
Iron Man worries about a recovering Steve. Shoulder touching for support.
Avengers v1 366
A new old moment added to our Steve/Tony Slashy Moments List (curated at @cap-im) today in honor of the Cap-Iron Man 616 Day! We will keep reblogging some more 616 moments with all the fanworks you come up with to remind everyone about what makes their 616 relationship so great.
Tony let the open tie hang around his neck, unbuttoned the top of his shirt, and Steve stared, for a second imagining holding him by that tie and pulling him closer and licking a line down Tony’s long, elegant neck—
Damn him.
Happy 616 day! Here’s a fic/art collab between @laireshi and I, based on this amazing moment in Avengers v4 #18 where it looked like Steve was talking to Tony while touching the nape of his neck. Read the fic, it’s incredible!! And you can see which panel I’m talking about in the cut below:
A lot of time, actors look at the words as clues as to who the character is and how the line should be said. But it’s not always a direct link. If [casting directors] are going to audition 100 people for a role, the majority of the actors are going to use the words as indicators. Be different. Go another route. Take the dance somewhere unique. If nothing else, you’ll stick in their mind.
But can we talk about Titanic AU!Stony, please??? Titanic!AUs are important. And also young!Tony???? I know it’s probably been done already, but I wanted to give my contribution anyway LOL (and this has been laying around in my folders for too long).
Steve dealing with casualties vs. Tony dealing with casualties
steve sees things in terms of the lives saved and who/what he can save
while tony only sees the mistakes and what went wrong and who didn’t get saved
steve is a man who is at peace with what he believes, who is a soldier and has accepted that there are casualties and they can only do the best they can do
while tony is a man who will never be at peace with not being good enough to save everyone, who isn’t a soldier and can’t accept that this is simply the best they can do
here you see two people who look at the world in very different ways and that’s exactly why they couldn’t find common grounds to agree on
